The Premnas biaculeatus (Maroon Clownfish) is a beautiful and hardy marine fish native to the Indo-Pacific region. Recognized by its rich maroon body and distinctive white or golden stripes (depending on the variety), it is a favorite among marine aquarium enthusiasts.
Compared to other clownfish species, the Maroon Clownfish is more territorial and is best kept singly or as a bonded pair in appropriately sized aquariums. Once established, it is hardy, easy to feed, and adapts well to aquarium life.
In the wild, it naturally associates with the Bubble Tip Anemone (Entacmaea quadricolor), although it can thrive perfectly well in aquariums without an anemone when provided with stable water conditions and suitable hiding places.
