Benefits
- Miracle Mud continually replenishes the mineral and trace element concentration in the aquarium water, fostering the perfect environment for fish, corals, and other invertebrates.
- It creates such a healthy environment that it significantly reverses the effects of head and lateral line erosion (HLLE).
- Even novice aquarists can create a stunning reef aquarium display, just like the one shown in the pictures below! This reef aquarium, which mainly features stony corals, does require additional mineral and trace element supplementation, as outlined in the ECO Balling Method. Other types of reef aquariums, particularly those dominated by soft corals, will receive enough minerals and trace elements directly from Miracle Mud, making it truly unique and simplifying the process of keeping and maintaining a reef aquarium. Anyone can achieve a beautiful reef aquarium, regardless of their level of experience!
- Miracle Mud serves as an ideal and highly effective denitrifying refugium filter, ensuring a pristine environment for fish, corals, and other invertebrates. Its fine consistency creates distinct aerobic and anaerobic layers, allowing it to function as both an excellent nitrifier and denitrifier.
a. Miracle Mud is the most economical refugium filter substrate available for removing nitrate from system water! Unlike other substrates that require a minimum of 6 inches (15 cm) of deep sand bed (DSB) for effective denitrification, Miracle Mud only needs a 1-inch (2.5 cm) deep layer. Do your research! Multiply the price of other products by a factor of 4 to 6!
