Although it can adapt well to captive diets, it should be offered a varied menu including high-quality marine flakes, frozen mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and sponge-based foods.

The Chaetodon falcula is generally peaceful toward other fish but may not be reef-safe, as it can nip at soft and stony corals, feather dusters, and some sessile invertebrates.
