FZN PRO is another idea for a cascade filter in the Aquael portfolio. It will be perfect for various types of tanks, both in nanoaquaria or shrimp tanks, as well as larger ones, even 300 litres. A great choice for small marine tanks where the cascading water drop creates a natural wave, imitating the movement of the sea.

A filter tailored to you

We have taken care of a number of features that will make using the FZN PRO filter a pleasure.

Don’t like waiting for the filter to start at full power? With the FZN PRO, you won’t have this problem. Thanks to the placement of the motor under water, the filter, once connected, starts working immediately, without the need for any prior priming.

• Worried that in the event of a power cut, your filter won’t start when the power is switched on? The FZN PRO will start working straight away and will clean the water in your tank immediately. Thanks to the safe placement of the motor under the water, even longer power cuts will not be a surprise for this filter.
  
• The telescopically adjustable intake tube allows you to precisely adjust the length to suit your tank. Adapt the water intake point to the height of the substrate in your tank. This will work especially well with unusual aquarium sizes.
  
• Adjust the performance of the filter according to your own choice and needs. We have placed a large, convenient adjustment knob on the top of the housing. It allows you to infinitely adjust the strength with which the filter operates.
  
• Perfectly adjust the position of the filter to your tank. This is taken care of by the convenient circular regulator, with which you can precisely set the right level of the water spout.
  
• Despite the large volume of the filter media container, the housing is slim and space-saving. The housing outside the tank is only 9.5 cm thick.
  

Quiet as a whisper

The Aquael designers have ensured that the FZN PRO filter operates as quietly as possible. The sound generated by the largest filter in the family is only 32 dB – as quiet as a whisper. The clever design ensures that any noise is suppressed as much as possible. This is because:

• The filter outlet is flush with the surface, so that the outflowing water produces an ear-pleasing murmur. Forget about bubbling or noisy water overflow.
  
• The motor is placed under the water. This provides natural sound insulation through the dampening effect of the water.
  
• Any contact between the filter housing and the aquarium glass is protected with rubber. This reduces the vibration of the running unit and eliminates any knocking or bumping of the filter housing.
  
• Linear holes have been added to the top of the housing. This reduces the resonance tube effect inside the unit. Gas exchange is improved.
  

Tailored to individual needs

We know how diverse the group of aquarium owners is. They range from those who appreciate the comfort and simplicity of tank care to professionals who love tailor-made products. Our FZN PRO filter will appeal to representatives of each of these groups.

Don’t want to spend a lot of time looking after your aquarium? Take advantage of the simplicity offered by ready-made filter cartridges. With a single movement, you can remove the basket with dedicated cartridges and clean or replace them. Depending on the filter model, there will be between 1 and 6 cartridges. You have a choice of carefully designed, replaceable cartridges – Standard, Carbomax or Phosmax.

Do you prefer a solution tailored to your own preferences? You can use the capacious filter chamber to fill with your choice of bulk materials. Arrange them in layers as in a typical cascade filter or combine your own arrangement with one or more cartridges. You decide for yourself which solution works best.

Safety first

We have created the FZN PRO filter entirely from non-corrosive components, so safe and long-lasting. Whether you have a freshwater aquarium or have a taste for saltwater tanks, the FZN PRO filter will be an excellent choice.

Some users are concerned about accidentally unsealing the water supply hoses to a filter placed outside the aquarium, although this risk is minimal. The FZN PRO filter completely eliminates this possibility. By suspending the filter at the edge of the aquarium, the water has no chance of escaping outside the tank.

The energy-efficient motor requires minimal power consumption. The largest filter in the FZN PRO 1500 family operates at just 13 W. Your finances are also secure.

A crystal-clear surface

If your aquarium requires it, the filter can be supplemented with a matching skimmer. It will effectively filter the water surface for a crystal-clear sheet effect. The skimmer cleans the surface from dust particles, organic sediment or plant residues after pruning, which will be particularly appreciated by open tank enthusiasts and aquascapers.

It should be noted that the skimmer requires no additional power supply. It simply needs to be mounted on the intake tube in one movement. It is infinitely adjustable, so that its surface part will always be at the right height. If you do not need the skimmer, disconnect it without losing the functionality of the filter.

Advice from Aquael

Do you have doubts that a permanently attached skimmer will collect the food before the fish have time to eat it? The skimmer in the FZN PRO filter does not have to be removed e.g. during feeding. Simply turn the top of the skimmer so that it is above the water level. This will make the skimmer stop working. At any time you wish, lower the top section so that the unit starts collecting sediment again.

Easy cleaning and servicing

From now on, you will be happy to schedule your aquarium cleaning. With a single twist of the motor closure, you get to the impeller. You can easily service or clean the impeller of lingering sediment. The same applies to the filter sponge.

Thanks to the specially adapted basket, you can remove all filter trays in one movement, rinse or replace them with new ones and place them back in the chamber. You will have your hands free as the housing lid will not get in your way. It opens effortlessly, plus you can rest it comfortably on the back of the tray.

Aquael advice

The capacious tank gives you freedom of use. You can fill part of it with a suitably cut sponge of your choice and chemical media, layering them as you see fit. The remaining area can be filled with cartridges, which can be removed in a single movement thanks to the convenient plastic covers. You can use, for example, a carbon filter in the cartridges, which you will simply remove after the absorption period, without disturbing the remaining substances.
